Winter Season: Skin Advice

The cold season is officially here it seems. How do I know? My skin screams it to me everyday. It instantly feels more dry and irritated. I have been using the same products for nurturing my skin as before but I guess it's not enough; I need to dedicate more time and attention to- it that's for sure.

I am one of those people who loves to take care of the their skin and has facials regularly, so it is quite fun for me to research and try out new natural procedures to improve the skin.

In case you are experiencing the same problem, I want to share a couple of points that I have come across when nurturing dry and irritated skin.

1. Avocado Mask: Peel the avocado, smash it and add some coconut/olive oil into it. Apply to the face and leave for 20 minutes, rinse off excess avocado with warm water.

2. Coconut/Olive Oil: Sometimes before taking a bath, I apply either one of the oils onto my skin and neck for about 20 minutes, wiping off the excess with a tissue. I like the effect very much.

3. Banana Mask: Bananas work the same way as an avocado mask; they soften and calm the skin.  Either mash the banana and apply it to your face for about 20 minutes or add a teaspoon of honey for ultimate effect.

4. Yoghurt Mask: Better to aim for a cold yoghurt with a high percentage of fat. Leave on for about 20 minutes and rinse off. Works great at whitening the skin too.

Please don't forget to share your experience and let me know which mask worked best for you.

Cheers!
