"Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls" is a children's book with 100 bedtime stories about the life of 100 extraordinary women from the past and the present. From famous astronauts to writers and legendary chefs, the stories are meant to inspire girls as well as empower them. The story lines are written in a fairy tale style and are meant to change the concept of little girls always seeing princesses marrying princes. The illustrations of the book are done by 60 female artists from all over the world. Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls is also the most crowd funded original book in history, gaining over $10000 in support of the project.
I have already purchased a copy for my daughter-Melissa, and I’m just waiting until she gets a bit older in order to introduce her to the book. She is currently four years old, and I think age six would be perfect for grasping the idea behind the book.
