Turmeric Milkshake: RECIPE

If you are unfamiliar Turmeric, its time to add this spice and keep it in your pantry as it is one of the healthiest spices you can use in your dishes.  Let me not bore you with its different benefits as you can easily google it. When thinking turmeric people usually associate this spice with savoury dishes however that does not always have to be the case. Here is a healthier milkshake that you can try at home. Yes you heard right, milkshake! With summer here it is a perfect way to enjoy a guiltless cold drink which is gluten free, dairy free and refined sugar free; full of healthy fats and nutrient dense. Trust me it tastes just like milkshake, if not even better!

 

Ingredients:

Half a cup of coconut milk

Half a cup of almond milk

2 frozen bananas

1 tbsp of almond butter

1 tbsp of chia seeds

2 tsp of ground turmeric

1 tsp of macca (optional)

a pinch of sea salt

a pinch cinnamon

 

Method:

Put all the ingredients in the blender and blend on high speed and garnish with some cinnamon.
